President Tinubu's Cutting Cost of Governance: A Stitch in Time (II)

Today, President Bola Tinubu orders mass reduction of Personnel traveling with Top Government officials on both local and international trips. He also directed that his security personnel be heavily reduced during visit to states in Nigeria as the security architecture in the states he is visiting would take charge of his personal security. He warned that any minister or public servant that violate this directive would be sanctioned.

Similarly, President Tinubu, on Monday, sacked the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Babatunde Irukera, and the Director-General/CEO of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, Mr Alexander Okoh with immediate effectl. Irukera and Okoh’s sack comes just hours after the President suspended the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, over widespread anger emanating from an alleged misappropriation of N585m.

Perhaps thus, hitherto, attracted many positive comments from across board, with several accolades and encomiums from the international community. This is not coming in isolation with the ongoing efforts to sanitize the Nigeria's public claims, to become a serene business atmosphere by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume and the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi the Renewed Hope Federal Government by the Gbajabiamila, which is in line with the President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. To this end, be it as it might, one can rightly say, of course, that this is as a stitch in time ... So to speak.
