HUMANITARIAN MINISTRY QUAGMIRE: Suspension of Betta Edu: a stitch in time ...

In the sideline of the former minister of Humanitarian Affairs Ministry, Sadiya Umar-Farooq's invitation by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on a N47b money laundery saga that was allegedly transpired in the Humanitarian Ministry under her watch, the Nigeria's media space got agoged by another news of President Bola Tinubu's suspension of his Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, following controversies about financial transactions she authorised in her ministry. 

Perhaps the swift response to the avalanche of public outcry, calling for her head, to serve as detrimental to others, indeed Mr President's decision to immediately suspend Betta Edu to allow the antigraft agency to carryout a thorough and forensic investigation on her, has attracted a corresponding avalanche of ovations and hat doffs to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
