NLC/TUC IMPENDING STRIKE: Hon. Yazid Inuwa MK applauds President Tinubu's Pragmatic approach to resolving differences with Labour Unions

The zonal coordinator (NE) of Tinubu Support Movement (TSM), Hon. Yazid Inuwa Malamin Kasuwa applauds President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his pragmatic approach towards resolving the lingering NLC/TUC indefinite industrial action.

While ostalgically reminiscing the legacies left behind by our founding fathers. Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the Nigeria's 1st and only Prime Ministers, in his 1st October, 1960's inaugural speech, reiterated to our erstwhile colonial masters that, “political independence is totally inadequate if it is not accompanied by economy stability”.

Sequel to decades of stunted growth, in his 63rd Independence Anniversary address, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reciprocate the labour of our hero's past by committing N25,000 as provisional wage increment for all treasury-paid federal government workers for six months. Also pledged to fast-tracking the provision of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to ease public transportation difficulties associated with the removal of PMS subsidy.

President Tinubu announced the FG's provision of funds for micro and small-scale enterprises. And as well, waived the VAT on diesel for the next 6 months. Under his Renewed Hope Agenda, the President Tinubu announced the commencement of payment of N75,000 to 15 million households at N25,000 per month, for a three-month period  from October-December 2023.

To reciprocate President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu pledged to resolve the lingering matter of Road Transport Employees Association of Nigeria (RTEAN)  and National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, among other.

To this end, it is a sacred duty to fervently pray for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, and to applaud him for his paragmatic approach to resolving the lingering NLC/TUC's indefinite industrial action.
