HUMANITARIAN SERVICE AND POVERTY ALLEVIATION : Dr. Betta Edu – a square peg in a square hole By Yazid Inuwa MK Bauchi

In just few couple of days in office, the Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Ministry, under the watch of Dr. Betta Edu, has attained an unprecedented feat, hitherto unchecked by the the 8 years of the ministry. Indeed, Dr. Betta Edu, through her various initiatives – advocacy visits, grassroots outreach, attracting the attention of multilateral donor agencies, among other things.

Sequel to her official inauguration, Dr. Betta Edu has successful attracted the commitments of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, WHO, UNESCO, Netherlands, and host of many other relivant humanitarian services and poverty alleviation stakeholders, here at home and diaspora. Through innumerous innovative and laudable initiatives, Dr. Betta Edu has assured Nigerian impoverished women, and the downtrodden youths, through her relentlessly effort, committed to create thousands, if not millions of job opportunities, under the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Dr. Edu has rekindled a Renewed Hope to the internally displaced persons, Boko Haram and Banditry stricken persons, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), war veterans, widows and orphans of the Nigerian fallen heros, among others, too numinous to be mentioned here. To this end, all well meaning compatriots are expected, as a scared duty, and constitutional responsibilities, to fervently pray for the success of her Greater Nigeria Project.

Yazid Inuwa Malamin Kasuwa congratulates Malam Musa Umar Yashi – the Executive Director [Humanitarian Affairs], North East Development Commission (NEDC) – for successfully delivering the NESDMP to the Vice President, HE Sen.
