CSU CERTIFICATE SAGA: Silence is no longer golden
Many questions were raised by the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's press conference, regarding the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's CSU certificate impasse. Even though, as we are awaiting the supreme court's verdict, being the last constituted authority empowered by the law to abjudicate over the lingering issue. But yet, silence is no longer golden.
Sometimes, no matter how falsely a negative propaganda is being repeatedly said and circulated time and again, by naysayers, it may begins to look truthfully. However, many convincing responses were made across all media, debunking President Tinubu's detractors' inimical excesses, but hitherto, a doubting Thomas remains adamant, refusing to refutes the naysayers.
Athought, Mr president, himself, is not suppose to be the one responding to any of the baseless acquisitions leveled against him, regarding his academic record. But perhaps there ought to have been a way and manner of dismissing his antagonists' blatant lies, and campaign of calumny and character assassination, aimed at soiling his hard-earned name, dragging his reputation in gutter.
As Martin Luther King Jr maintained that, "The hottest place in hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict." . As well, the former US president, Kennedy's favorite quotations, which he attributed to Dante, was that “The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who in time of moral crisis preserve their neutrality.” As thus, silence is no longer golden.
