LAGDOM DAM OPENING: iImminent flood disaster in Nigeria

A few days ago, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, alerted Nigerians of impending flooding along the River Benue Basin due to the opening of Lagdom Dam in Cameroon. Hitherto, Dr. Betta Edu #GreaterNigeria Project, a humanitarian services based platform is alarting the general public on the looming flood disaster in the country. 

This become incumbent upon us to start sensitizing Nigerians to that effect. It is in a genuine effort to reciprocate the concern of Dr. Betta Edu, the Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Minister; in tendem with the sincere effort of finding a lasting panacea to the humanitarian crisis and poverty challenges of the country, particularly the northeastern region where the adverse effects of the looming flood disaster risk is forecasted to cast a severe negative impact. 

The gesture was inspired by the Executive Director, Humanitarian Affairs of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), Malam Musa Yashi, who has been in the forefront of fighting humanitarian crisis across the seven states of the North East, comprising Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Taraba, Gombe and Yobe states respectively.

Yazid Inuwa Malamin Kasuwa congratulates Malam Musa Umar Yashi – the Executive Director [Humanitarian Affairs], North East Development Commission (NEDC) – for successfully delivering the NESDMP to the Vice President, HE Sen.
